Nintendo’s finally brought forth some new tidbits about their much hushed online infrastructure for the Switch.
According to their official site, the online service will provide:
- Cloud Saves
This much requested feature from fans is at last coming to the system. No details yet on how it will work (like being able to backup saves manually, for eg.) but Nintendo promises to talk more about cloud saves when their online launches.
- Retro Titles With Online Multiplayer Functionality
Yep, you read that right. Kicking off this feature will be a selection of 20 NES games at launch (with more games coming down the line), including The Legend Of Zelda and Super Mario Bros 3 pharmaciepourhomme.fr/. There’s even voice chat but unfortunately it will only be available through NintendosN smartphone app. Oh well, there’s always third party voice chat apps like Discord.
- A “Family” Subscription Model
Costing about $35, it falls under the previously revealed price plans of $4 (monthly)/$8 (3 months)/$20 (annually). As revealed under the FAQ section on Nintendo’s site, users can buy the $35 annual family subscription and share the online services with other members upto 8 systems. Users can make “family groups” from May 15th 2018 onwards and avail the family subscription on launch.
These details will be further iterated on when the service launches in September. What do you think?
