As part of a Tokyo Game Show announcement, Japanese publisher Capcom revealed that the first three Ace Attorney games will be coming to PC, PS4, XB1 & Nintendo Switch in a bundle called “Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy”; this also marks the first time the series is on a non-Nintendo gaming platform.
The collection includes Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney, Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Justice For All and Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Trials And Tribulations; for those unaware, the series started on the Gameboy Advance (with consequent installments exclusively releasing on the Nintendo DS & 3DS systems), and the games are detective visual novels where you play as the titular Phoenix Wright, an attorney who must solve cases (usually involving murder) via investigations and engage in courtroom “trials” to seek the true culprit out of a handful of colorful and well-written cast of characters. Thanks to brilliant writing and plot twists, the Phoenix Wright games provide a humorous and enjoyable VN experience, so this collection is especially worth picking up by those new to the genre.
