Icey, a 2D hack n slash game by Chinese developer FantaBlade, is on sale on Steam, currently with a 40% discount which is a new price low for the game (Last time it was 33%? we could be wrong). Today, the developers announced that the game’s success on the Nintendo Switch in the Japanese market has prompted them to localize the game in Japanese. Here is what the developers had to say on the Steam page:
Hey, folks! Guess we haven’t met each other for a while. It’s been two years since ICEY was released on STEAM. Many gratitudes for all your support and company while ICEY grew up with her team in the past two years. Today, I am bringing some good news to everyone! Check our surprise for you guys here after a lapse of two years.
We are proud to announce that ICEY’s selling on each platform has officially exceeded 2 million sets altogether. When the NS version of ICEY entered the Japanese market nearly two months ago, it was highly praised by Japanese gamers as well as reached the top best seller in Nintendo Eshop during the first half of June. On the App Store, the selling in Japanese region is only second after China by which we realized the great demand for Japanese audio.
Today, we brought a excellent Japanese audio update to Steam version with the highest discount in history. We hope that all of you who have bought or are willing to buy ICEY can experience our sincerity and care. Hope you enjoy these new content.

Language update aside, we picked up the game during the sale and already completed it. It is a short experience, about 4-5 hours long, but its smooth gameplay, 4th wall breaking, humor and lack of fluff content really make it one of the more bang for buck experiences out there. (Yes we do recommend picking it up)
